Adrian Peterson will play for the Vikings on Sunday when Minnesota visits the Saints.
The news was first reported by ESPN.
Peterson was deactivated for yesterday's 30-7 loss to the Patriots after he was charged in Texas with injury to a child, a felony.
Peterson told cops that he grabbed a switch - a thin tree branch - and struck his 4-year-old son at least 10 times in May.
