RelatedIslamic State militants have left a headless trail of destruction as they continue their deadly terror attacks in the Middle East.
A 38-year-old father of four told the Daily Mail about the horrific scenes from Kobane, the besieged Syrian border town where ISIS have been battling Kurdish fighters.
'I have seen tens, maybe hundreds of bodies with their heads cut off,' Amin Fajar told the Mail.
Another resident, 13-year-old Dillyar, watched as his cousin Mohammed, 20, was captured and beheaded by the black-clad jihadis as the pair tried to flee.
'They pushed him to the ground and sawed his head off, shouting, 'Allahu Akbar,' ' the boy said.
They say the brutality comes mainly at the hands of foreign jihadis, evident by their British accents.
The United States, the United Kingdom and other allies have so far refused to send ground troops into Syria, opting to conduct their fight through air strikes.
US Secretary of State John Kerry says it is up to the Iraqis to take the lead on the ground.
