Fort Worth teen is fourth victim of horrific SXSW crash


A Fort Worth teen is the fourth person to die from injuries sustained during the fatal drunk driving crash that occurred during the SXSW Festival.


De'Andre Tatum, 18, of Fort Worth, was pronounced dead on Thursday March 27 by the Austin Police Department, who sent out a tweet that he'd passed away as a result of his injuries. 'His family is in our thoughts and prayers,' it said.


A 2013 graduate of Trimble Tech high school in Fort Worth, Tatum had been in a medically induced coma at University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin since the crash on March 13.


He was on Red River Street with his girlfriend Curtisha Davis, who also suffered critical injuries; she was released from the hospital March 18. Two victims died at the scene; a third, Sandy Le, was pronounced dead on March 17.


Rashad Owens, 21, is charged with capital murder after driving drunk and fleeing police. More than 20 were injured.
