DENTON - Police in Denton said a 10-year-old boy who vanished overnight with his babysitter was found safe Friday afternoon. Police said Jake Davis' mother and boyfriend went out and left their son with another couple who were friends. While there, Brandi Diane Williams, 20, said she was going to the store and Davis offered to go with her. Police said the woman, who has a history of drug use, never returned to the house. Authorities said they were alerted that the child was missing at about 6 a.m. An Amber Alert was issued just before 2 p.m.
