South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham criticized a recently released Benghazi report, which was led by Republican Party. Graham is also a member of the Republican Party.
While using harsh words for the report on Sunday, he said that the report was full of crap. He further said, 'I don't believe that the report is accurate, given the role that Mike Morell (deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency at the time) played in misleading the Congress on two different occasions. Why didn't the report say that'?
The report was released on Friday by Chairman of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Mike Rogers, and Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Dutch Ruppersberger.
According to the report, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and military had responded properly to the September 11, 2012 deadly attack on a US diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya.
Graham said that the report has not mentioned that some members of Obama administration lied to cover the case. The American politician has always stood against the Benghazi controversy over the last two years.
According to Graham, Obama administration has hidden several truths. When he came to know that the report released by his own party is favoring government's action at that time, he said that the report is complete garbage and he doesn't think Obama administration had done the right thing.
In an investigation, it had been found that the security at the diplomatic outpost was weak at that time. After the attack, statements given by United States National Security Advisor Susan Rice made critics angry. As per the critics, Obama administration had tried to avoid calling the attack as terrorism.
Graham said that findings in the report are not correct as information was supplied by Mike Morell, CIA Deputy Director, and some other members of the intelligence community.
