Dheeraj Bhatnagar for ENI Jodhpur:While on one hand the police are still making efforts to nab Rampal from his ashram in Hisar, Haryana, a youth from Jodhpur has accused the self- styled 'godman' of giving a human sacrifice. Mahendra from Jodhpur has accused Rampal of getting his father abducted and ordering his killing in the name of sacrifice at Satlok ashram in Hisar in 2013. The youth had filed a case against Rampal in 2013 but the case was closed allegedly due to pressure. On the appeal of the youth, the court has now ordered the Jodhpur DSP to probe the matter again and submit his report within a time-frame of two months. The youth's father Jagdish Kharwal, who was a construction worker, was allegedly found dead in a room in the Satlok ashram, with one of his toes missing and burnt marks on his feet. Kharwal's body was found tied with rope with marks on his upper body assumedly made by a sharp weapon. Mahendra has alleged that his father was abducted on the directions of Rampal and the killing too was carried out on his command.
Meanwhile, 200 people were left injured in the clashes that broke out yesterday as efforts to arrest him were met with stiff resistance by his supporters who allegedly fired at the police and lobbed 'petrol bombs'. Security personnel would continue their operation till Rampal is brought out of the ashram and produced before the Punjab and Haryana High Court, which has issued a fresh non-bailable warrant against him in a contempt case, police said.
