Even by the glitzy standards of Hollywood, Monday night's Los Angeles premiere of 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part I' was a blockbuster event.

Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and the rest of the stars of the franchise based on Suzanne Collins' best-selling dystopian YA books descended on the Nokia Theater L.A. Live,

Navigating the phalanx of reporters and screaming fans along the red carpet, the 24-year-old Lawrence was particularly chic in a sleeveless white Christian Dior fall 2014 couture gown, according to E! News.

Her two male co-leads sported fitted black suits. Castmates Jena Malone, Donald Sutherland, Sam Claflin and Natalie Dormer were also among those who attended.

As the third and penultimate installment of the 'The Hunger Games' franchise nears its Friday release, the stars know the end is in sight.

During Saturday's New York City press conference, Lawrence recalled the final day of filming.

'It was complicated because it was such a long shoot and so exhausted, so there was a part of us that wanted to wrap just to give our bodies a break,' Lawrence recounted.

' But we would always wrap and come back... And realizing that would be gone was such a complicated set of feelings because it was relief on one end but also so sad. We're all best friends and we see each other way too much but it's different.'

' I'd like to announce Hunger Games 5, 6, and 7,' interjected Hutcherson.

'I'd totally do it,' replied Lawrence, before turning serious again. 'I thought I was going to be relieved but they called wrap and I started sobbing.'

The close friendships forged on the set - particularly between Lawrence and Hemsworth, 24 - have fueled the rumor mill during the movie's long press tour across Europe and the United States.

Both Hollywood hearthrobs are now single after Lawrence ended her short-lived relationship with Coldplay lead-singer Chris Martin.

'I guess the thing that surprised me is that I would never expect to have a man this good looking be my best friend,' Lawrence said, indirectly referencing the rumors surrounding her rAustralian co-star at the press conference.
