The midterm elections are just a little over a month away, and if a new poll from Fox News is on the money, the Democrats may wind up as the big losers in November.
According to the survey, only 24% of you say you are better off now than you were in 2008. KTRH political analyst Jim McGrath isn't surprised.
'Tens of millions of Americans have dropped out completely from the labor market. They are chronically unemployed. They've just stopped looking,' McGrath said.
And many told the survey they lamented the fact that the Obama Presidency has 840 days left to go.
'His lack of leadership and effectiveness on a whole host of issues are weighing down a lot of Democratic candidates that are not eager to be seen with him in this campaign,' McGrath stated.
And he thinks all of this could lead to big changes in Washington. The poll shows the GOP has a slight edge to re-take control of the Senate. McGrath says as far as momentum is concerned, the Republicans have it.
'The tide is definitely moving in the Republicans favor right now, but we will have to see how the next 32 or 33 days play out,' McGrath explained. 'There is a shift in favor of the GOP. Most experts think they could pick up at least four Senate seats.'
The GOP needs to pick up six Senate seats for Senate control.
The poll also asked about seceding from the U.S. While only 9% favored that, the state that you most wanted to kick out of the country was California.
