Serena, arguably the greatest female tennis player of all time, is looking to win her 18th grand slam singles title. Her friend, Wozniacki, arguably the most popular player on tour, is looking to win her first.
Both are in excellent form - the Flushing Meadows crowd should be in for a treat.

Looking back at Wozniacki's development, she has always been a refreshingly straightforward sort, free of the torment and inner battles that afflict so many of tennis's hothouse flowers.Do not write Wozniacki off, for she belies her affability with a ruthless competitive streak. If she can find her way past this final challenge, New York will rise to acclaim her.
