Pennsylvania police say they may be closing in on cop killer

Pennsylvania police may be closing in Friday night on the suspected killer of a state trooper.


A home in the Poconos Mountains was surrounded by officers late Friday after exchanging fire with someone inside, CNN reported, citing an unamed government official.


Police have been searching for Eric Matthew Frein since Sept. 12, when Cpl. Byron Dickson was ambushed outside the Pennsylvania State Police barracks in Blooming Grove.
