According to the Ferguson City Council, changes are expected to be made in their court systems. A citizen review board is to be formed in order to provide proper guidelines for the city's police department. The decision comes after weeks of the incident in which a white police officer shot at a black teenager. The boy died in the incident. His name was Michael Brown and he was 19 year old. The police officer, who shot him dead, was named Darren Wilson. The death caused protests and followed by a federal inquiry in the incident.
Court fines will also be reduced specifically the fines like traffic tickets and costs of towing. The public has criticized these fines as an unfair target at the black citizens of in the suburb of St. Louis. The death of this black teenager has highlighted the already collected complaints against racism in this town where maximum population is of black people while the white run the government.
