BIRMINGHAM, Ala (WIAT) - New evidence into the mind of a father accused of killing his five children. Several warrants obtained by WIAT 42 show what the last moments may have been like for the Jones children. Today we got our hands on all five arrest warrants charging Jones with murder in the deaths of his five children - ages one through eight.

The first set of warrants allege on August 28th Timothy Jones Jr. killed all five children by violent means while they were within their South Carolina home. They go on to further say he then took their bodies to Alabama, placed them in plastic bags and then discarded them in a wooded area.

When it comes to motive, it's the second set of warrants for unlawful neglect of a child that gives us a little bit of a glimpse into Jones' state of mind and help answer that question as to why he might do something like this.

They charge that earlier in the day on August 28th jones forced all five of his children out of his Escalade near a Walmart store. He allegedly told investigators that he believed they were plotting to kill him, chop him up and then feed him to the dogs. Investigators later found a large amount of blood and handwritten notes in the Escalade with directions on how to kill and mutilate bodies.

What we do not know is who is the author of those notes. But what we do know is, according to the warrants, Jones was the last person to see the those children alive.
