Great White Shark spotted on Massachusetts Beach

On Monday, at Massachusetts beach, the great white shark was spotted. After the sight of shark, beach was closed for a brief time, said police of the state.


During incident, there were no reports of injuries.


It was confirmed by the police that the shark was 75-100 yards close to the coast of Duxbury. To prevent any hazard, beach was closed for the visitors for about half an hour.


According to the Boston Globe, at about local time 2 p.m. on the Duxbury beach, the shark was first sighted by the helicopter of state police.


Swimmers were immediately told to clear up the sea side.


Fire Chief of Duxbury, Kevin Nord, told that the shark was very close to about 1,000 beach goers. He also said that the shark was the biggest they have seen this year.


On Facebook, state police said that the shark started to swim towards deeper water in South east, when the boats started to arrive in the area where the shark was seen.
