With the new series set to begin on the first day of 2014, the lovely people of Sherlock have decided to give fans an early taste of what is to come in the form of a seven minute prequel.
The mini episode shows Anderson trying his best to convince DI Lestrade that Sherlock is still alive, but to no avail.
And any episode of Sherlock has to feature Dr Watson who makes his appearance in the mini episode when DI Lestrade drops a few things belonging to Sherlock off at his house.
In the midst of Sherlock's belongings is a DVD of a message from Sherlock wishing Watson a happy birthday. As Watson settles down to watch the DVD, he sees Sherlock telling the camera:
'Don't worry, I'm going to be with you very soon.'

With just a week to go before The Empty Hearse airs, Benedict has joked that he still wonders if he even knows how Sherlock managed to fake his own death.
Having gathered for a screening of the first episode of the drama at the BFI earlier this month, the actor who was joined by Martin Freeman, Mark Gatiss. Steven Moffat and co, made the comment when the question over how difficult it was to keep the secret.
Revealing that he knew how Sherlock would fake his own death from the beginning, Gatiss who also plays Benedict's on-screen brother, Mycroft said: 'To be honest we knew right from the start about how were were going to do it.'
Benedict has revealed that he's happy to be back on the show (BBC Pictures)Going on to admit that the he had no idea how big the mystery surrounding Sherlock's death would be, Gatiss continued: 'We had absolutely no idea it was going to take on the epic proportions it has so really by the time it actually came to do it, we really had to address the fact that it's been so huge because there are so many ways that you could jump of a building.'
Chipping in, Benedict who has returned to Sherlock after a two year hiatus quipped: 'I sat there at the end wondering: 'Gosh I wonder if I even know'.'
