More winter weather is headed for North Jersey this weekend and it's expected to make getting around difficult for holiday shoppers.
Snow should begin around 10 a.m. Saturday.
North Jersey is going to be 'on the fence between real heavy snow and a mixture of sleet and rain, which could keep the totals down,'' said Accuweather.com senior meteorologist Tom Kines.
Accumulations are expected to be highest in the northwest corner of the state, with 6-9 inches expected. The Newark area could see 3-6. In Bergen County, he said, totals could reach 6-8 inches.
'I'd lean more toward the 8 for Bergen,' he said.
Saturday's high will be 25 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Sunday will be better - sunny skies and a high near 36.
The National Weather Service says six to 12 inches of snow is expected from Saturday to Sunday in most of Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
