TUCSON (AP) - Pima Community College's chancellor is among several education leaders attending a summit at the White House on boosting college attendance. The college says Chancellor Lee Lambert was in Washington, D.C. on Thursday to attend the College Opportunity Summit. According to the White House, the gathering of officials from universities and businesses is looking at how to encourage more students to pursue higher education through community partnerships. PCC has seen a steady drop in enrollment and school officials set up a task force in February to examine the issue. The college so full-time enrollment decrease by 10 percent college-wide. The school is also on probation with its U.S. accreditor because of administrative failures. (Copyright 2014 bberitaa.blogspot.com. All rights reserved.
