Online giant Amazon sold more than 5.5 million items at a rate of 64 items a second on Black Friday. The retailer is expecting Cyber Monday 2014 to smash its Black Friday sales record.
Amazon will be releasing new 'lightning' deals every 10 minutes today, December 1.
For the first time this year, Amazon will also include offers from some of its Marketplace sellers, including Laithwaites Wine and Chocolate Buttons' retro confectionary.
Amazon.co.uk will be cutting prices by an average of 40pc.
