Curiosity Finds More Evidence of Water on Mars

Even though the successful Orion flight test was held last week we shouldn't forget about the craft that is already on Mars, Curiosity!

NASA's Curiosity Rover has been traveling around the Martian surface since landing in 2012. Now the rover has been examining geological features on Gale Crater, providing jig-saw pieces to a massive puzzle.

Michael Meyer is the Mars Exploration Program lead and says Curiosity has found many different types of rocks formed by water, 'From the exploration of the area called Yellowknife Bay, we have concluded that the base of Gale Crater had the right ingredients and the environment to support microbial life.'

Many pebbles and sediments observed by Curiosity show many more pieces in the 'Does Mars have life?' puzzle, '...A vast team has been examining a whole series of different types of rocks. Trying to pull together to build that picture of the overall setting of Gale Crater.' says Sanjeev Gupta a member of the Curiosity science team.
