Authorities in search of killer who set Jessica Chambers on fire

Jessica Chambers, a 19 years old teen, found on fire on a rural road in Panola County. She was last seen at 06:30 pm on Saturday at gas station. The incident happened after one and a half hour.

The teen was quickly taken to the hospital in Memphis where she couldn't survive those severe burns and died. The autopsy report also confirmed that 98 percent of her body was burned which caused her death. The authorities are examining the mobile phone found near her and other clues that may lead to the killer. No arrests have been made till now.

Courtland Fire Department's fire department chief Cole Haley said they expected this fire to be one of the normal they encounter almost every day.

'We were expecting it to be a normal car fire,' he told NBC. He told his team, 'Put it out, extinguish it, be done with it.'

But then he saw the actual victim was a girl beside the burning car which shocked him. She also whispered some words which he couldn't disclose at this time. Investigators told that an accelerant was poured before setting her on fire.

Jessica's Father, Ben Chambers said that whatever happened to her daughter is baffling. Feet were the only part in her body that was not burned. I want to see justice for all this.

He said 'Why? What did she do? What kind of monster are you? ... That's a part of me that's gone forever.'

Amanda Prince, Jessica's sister, said that 'Jessica was a cheerleader who was really known and loved by all'. She also told that she set up a Facebook page in a bid to help investigators solve her sister's murder.

'I haven't seen her since July and now I know I'll never see her again' she said.
