Pro Football|Richard Sherman's Interceptions Lead Seattle Over 49ers

Richard Sherman had two interceptions, including one that set up the only touchdown of the game, and the Seattle Seahawks ended a five-game losing streak on the San Francisco 49ers ' home field with a 19-3 win Thursday night.

Steven Hauschka kicked four field goals and the Seahawks' stout defense held Colin Kaepernick and Michael Crabtree in check as Seattle (8-4) overcame 14 penalties for 105 yards, including a call for offensive pass interference that negated a touchdown.

Russell Wilson threw for 236 yards and outplayed Kaepernick, who had one of his worst performances for the 49ers (7-5). Kaepernick was 16 for 29 for 121 yards.

After his second interception, Sherman looked at the fans who remained in the half-empty stadium and gave them the hush sign with his pointer finger, then waved goodbye. The Seahawks won with a score that was identical to the one in their victory over first-place Arizona five days earlier.

The Seahawks and the 49ers will play again in Week 15 in Seattle.

LIONS 34, BEARS 17 Calvin Johnson caught 11 passes for 146 yards with two first-half touchdowns, and Detroit shored up its postseason hopes with a home victory over Chicago.

After losing at Arizona and New England and falling out of first place in the N.F.C. North, the Lions (8-4) trailed, 14-3, in the first quarter before rallying with relative ease in the second. Johnson had perhaps his best game of the season, and Detroit's offense showed a bit of life, accumulating 474 total yards.

Joique Bell ran for two touchdowns for the Lions, and Jay Cutler threw two touchdown passes and had two interceptions for Chicago (5-7). Detroit's Matthew Stafford completed 34 of 45 passes for 390 yards and connected with Johnson for the two touchdown passes.

Detroit had not scored 34 points since a 35-14 win over the Giants in the season opener.

The Lions have now won back-to-back games on Thanksgiving after losing their previous nine. They beat the Packers, 40-10, last year.

That victory over Green Bay was Detroit's only win in its final seven games last season as the Lions frittered away a playoff spot. They are again in the mix for the postseason this year, and Thursday's game was their first of three in a row at home, all against teams with losing records.

Detroit entered the game with the league's top-ranked run defense, and Chicago's Matt Forte finished with 6 yards on five carries. Cutler was 31 of 49 for 280 yards, and both of his interceptions came in the fourth quarter.

Johnson had been held to under 60 yards in two of three games since he returned from an ankle injury. His first half was an emphatic return to his old self: nine catches for 109 yards.

In the second quarter, Johnson set a record for reaching 10,000 yards receiving in 115 games, faster than any other player.

Bell's 1-yard run in the fourth quarter was the only touchdown of the second half.

Bears safety Chris Conte left the game in the first quarter after sustaining an eye injury.

CLOWNEY HAS SETBACK The Texans' Jadeveon Clowney, the first overall pick in this year's draft, had a setback with his surgically repaired right knee and said that his chances of playing for Houston at Tennessee on Sunday were slim.

Clowney, an outside linebacker, has played just four games this season after being injured in Week 1. He had arthroscopic surgery Sept. 8 and missed six straight games before returning Oct. 26. He had about 50 plays on Sunday in his most significant action since the injury, making three tackles, including one for a loss, in a defeat to the Bengals.

Clowney experienced swelling in his knee after the game and has not practiced all week, walking with a noticeable limp Monday but moving around better Thursday. He said that he had not expected the injury to still be affecting him more than two and a half months after the surgery.

'I'm kind of surprised,' he said. 'I thought it would have been over.

'It's very tough knowing my ability and how I can play, but that my knee won't let me,' he added. 'That's the hard part about it that my knee keeps me from doing a lot of things I was doing before I got hurt.'

The Texans drafted Clowney, 21, after a three-year career at South Carolina in which he had 130 tackles, 24 sacks, 47 tackles for losses and 20 quarterback pressures.

Texans Coach Bill O'Brien said the team would most likely decide right before Sunday's game if Clowney would play.

EX-BILL SPEAKS OF DEPRESSION Darryl Talley, a former linebacker and two-time Pro Bowler for the Bills, told The Buffalo News he was suffering from depression and had contemplated suicide in what he considered were side effects from his playing days.

Talley, 54, spent 12 seasons in Buffalo, helping the Bills win four consecutive A.F.C. championships from 1991-94. He said in an interview published on Thursday that he had bouts of memory loss and had trouble sleeping, and that he was unable to estimate the number of concussions he sustained during his 14-year N.F.L. career.
