ESTHER MSETEKA, KALONDE NYATI, Lusaka THE late President Sata had a passion to change the landscape of Zambia through infrastructure development, stakeholders have noted.Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) vice president for policy, public relations and national Development George Sitali said there is need for stakeholders to uphold the legacy that President Sata has left behind. Mr Sitali said the developmental foot prints that the President has left should continue as his dream was to improve the livelihood of Zambians. 'When you see such a thing happening, you would want to see continuity... President Sata had a passion to change the landscape of Zambia through infrastructure development. 'It sad that this has happened during the jubilee celebrations, a year for reflections and new thinking, let us use the knowledge we have to move the national forward,' he said. Mr Sitali said all infrastructure projects such as universities, hospitals, road, schools and the water sectors projects should continue. In a separate interview, financial analyst Mambo Hamaundu says the late President will be remembered for implementing infrastructure projects across the country. 'He [President Sata] undertook infrastructure projects, which have long term benefits for Zambia. Zambia was in a period of economic transition,' he said. Mr Hamaundu noted that the former ruling party, Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) implemented projects, which the ruling Government under President Sata continued to implement in a quest to develop the country.
