The future of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is uncertain as TLC has issued a statement saying the channel is 'reassessing the future of the series' following a TMZ report alleging that June Shannon has been romantically connected to a convicted child molester.
'TLC is not currently in production on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. We are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series,' read a statement from the channel.
Shannon, known as Mama June on the show, is alleged to be currently seeing Mark McDaniel, who spent ten years in prison on a child molestation conviction and is registered as a sex offender in Georgia, according to TMZ.
The fourth season of the show concluded on Aug. 14.
