(WTNH)- Brittany Maynard, the 29-year-old Oregon woman, who is suffering from terminal cancer and has decided to end her life, says she hasn't decided if she'll do it on November 1st as planned.
Maynard planned to take medication to end her life in her own home surrounded by family on November 1st, but on Thursday she released a video in which she explains that now doesn't feel like the right time yet.
'I still feel good enough and I still have enough joy, and I still laugh and smile with my family and friends enough that it doesn't seem like the right time right now,' Maynard says in a video.
In April, doctors gave Maynard six months to live after it was discovered she has stage IV gliobastoma multioforme, an aggressive form of terminal brain cancer.
Maynard's story of her decision to end her life has spread all over news outlets, social media and YouTube, with a video she made about it generating millions of hits. This made her a face 'Death With Dignity' movement.
Her newest video, in which she explains her most recent decision, was released by the advocacy group Compassion & Choices.
Maynard does however mention her health is getting worse, and even talks about two terrible seizures she recently had that she was hospitalized for. She also talks about her fears of waiting too long to end her life because of the worst things that can happen to her.
Maynard's family has stood by her through this decision. She talks about what she wishes for them after she passes.
Maynard expresses she isn't suicidal, saying in the video 'if all my dreams came true, I would somehow survive this. But most likely, I won't.'
