Paul Feig has answered the 'Ghostbusters'' call.

The writer-director tweeted Wednesday that he is directing the remake of the popular 80s comedy.

'It's official. I'm making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women. That's who I'm gonna call,' he wrote.

As noted in the tweet, the project reteams him with screenwriter Katie Dippold, with whom he collaborated on the hit 2013 comedy 'The Heat' starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy.

Feig is taking over directing duties from Ivan Reitman, the director of the first two films starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis.

Reitman told Deadline earlier this year that he was bowing out due to the death of his friend Ramis, who played Egon in the films. The script for 'Ghostbusters III' also reportedly had to be revised after he passed away.

With his tweet, Feig also confirms that the 'Ghostbusters' remake would feature an all-women cast. No word yet on who will be donning Proton Packs for the third installment of the supernatural franchise, though The Toronto Star reports that Murray offered his opinion on the topic at last month's Toronto Film Festival.

'Melissa (McCarthy) would be a spectacular Ghostbuster,' he said. 'And Kristen Wiig is so funny. God, she's funny!'

'I like this girl Linda Cardellini a lot. And Emma Stone is funny,' he added. 'There are some funny girls out there.'
