AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - A shooting has been reported at Paine College in Georgia, prompting the campus to be closed and locked down.
Paine College spokeswoman Tonya Williams said the school is working with the Richmond County sheriff's office to investigate what happened Monday.
Sgt. Michael McDaniel told WJBF-TV that at least one person was shot inside a building on campus, and it's unclear if the shooting is related to a separate shooting Sunday afternoon.
The condition of the person shot Monday was not immediately clear.
Paine College's website says the private school about 140 miles east of Atlanta has just over 800 students.
