Jada has lashed out at people who have criticized a picture of her daughter.
Earlier this week there was a media furore over a picture of the actress' 13-year-old daughter Willow. It showed her relaxing, fully clothed, on a bed with 20-year-old Disney star Moisés Arias sitting behind her. Moisés had no shirt on, causing some to question the image.
Jada has hit out at the speculation surrounding it, insisting nothing untoward was going on.
'Here's the deal: there was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation,' she told photographers at LAX airport, according to TMZ. 'You guys are projecting your trash onto it, and you're acting like covert paedophiles, and that's not cool.'
The image was initially posted on Moisés' Instagram account, but has since been removed. Although Jada's representative was asked to comment on it earlier this week, no statement was given.
She was asked whether she will let Willow take more pictures like this going forward, but didn't answer before boarding her plane to New York City.
Neither Willow nor Moisés has made any comment.
It's thought the pair are friends and got to know each other as Moisés is good pals with Willow's 15-year-old brother Jaden. The Disney star has a lot of pictures of the siblings on his blog and is also close to Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Jada has been married to actor Will Smith since 1997. They have been open about the relaxed way they parent their kids, with Will insisting it works for them.
'We generally don't believe in punishment. From the time Jaden was five or six we would sit him down, and all he has to do is be able to explain why what he did was the right thing for his life,' he explained last year.
Although Will stands by the choice, he admitted it led to Jaden asking to be emancipated from them when he turned 15 last year.
