A popular California golf instructor busted for molesting several of his young students allegedly tried to hire a hitman to kill three of his victims, authorities said.
Andrew Nisbet, 32 is accused of writing letters to a contract killer, saying the young boys needed to be 'taken care of,' Alameda County district attorney's Inspector Jeff McCort wrote in a court affidavit.
Nisbet, who worked at Las Positas Golf Course in Livermore, is being held on more than 75 felony charges that include child molestation and possessing child pornography.
Authorities say he 'groomed' his male students, all aged between 12 and 17 years old, for sex during for more than two years while working at the golf course starting in Dec. 2009.
He allegedly wrote several letters from his cell at Santa Rita Jail, were written to a confidential informant - who handed the notes to authorities, according to a copy of the court documents obtained by the San Francisco Chronicle.
The letters included information about each victim and the price offered for each hit, the court papers show.
Prosecutors planted an undercover inspector to pose as a hitman and meet with Nisbet in March to discuss the details of the planned murders, authorities said.
During a conversation with the accused pervert, the inspector said he was a 'mechanic and could fix a car for him and made a pistol-shooting motion with his hand,' McCort wrote.
Nisbet gave him information on two 'cars' - one that was 21 years old and living in Santa Barbara, according to the documents.
The bogus contract killer promised to make the murder look like a botched robbery before Nisbet agreed to make a down payment.
Authorities then busted him on three counts of solicitation of murder.
Nisbet worked at the golf course since 2006, but also trained students in Michigan, North Carolina, Mississippi and Alabama, the newspaper reported.
