(TRNS)- Despite Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's (D-Nev.) insistence on citing Charles and David Koch as a major detrimental force in the U.S., a new poll finds that a slight majority of Americans have never heard of the wealthy, conservative brothers.
According to Politico/George Washington University's Battleground poll, 52 percent of respondents said that they have never heard of the Koch brothers. 25 percent said that they held them in an unfavorable light, 12 percent said they viewed them in a positive light and 11 percent expressed no opinion.
Reid has lambasted the Koch brothers and their organization Americans for Prosperity on the Senate floor in recent weeks, accusing them of pushing a radical philosophy, attempting to buy elections and forcing Republicans to oppose legislation that would have helped the situation in the Ukraine.
The poll was conducted among 1,000 respondents on March 20th by Lake Research and the Terrance Group.
