Courtney Cash, the granddaughter of country singer Tommy Cash and the great niece of the late Johnny Cash, was found dead and hidden in a box in a house in Cookeville, TN. Authorities say that an altercation occurred between Courtney and her boyfriend, William Johnson, and a man identified as Wayne Masciarella. Masciarella allegedly stabbed both Cash and Johnson; however Johnson was able to flee the scene with the couples young daughter. When police arrived at the home shared by Cash and Johnson, they found Courtney's body stuffed into a cedar box. Masciarella was later arrested by police and is being held, without bond, in the Putnam County Jail. Courtney's grandfather, Tommy Cash, released a statement saying 'We ask for your prayers for the Cash family at this time. Courtney and her boyfriend are beloved members of my family and like you we have a lot of questions and emotions that we are beginning to sort through today. We are completely heartbroken. It is a time like this that we are grateful for our faith and trusting the loving guidance of God.'
