Florida Police Officer Fatally Shot, Two Suspects Found Dead

(WINDERMERE, Fla.) -- Authorities are investigating after a police officer in Windermere, Fla. was shot and killed on Saturday shortly after he had made a call for backup.The officer, Robert German, 31, had reportedly stopped a pair of people on foot before the backup call. Later on Saturday, a pair of individuals who matched the description of the suspects were found dead nearby.Police believe that the two men's deaths were likely suicides.Officer German had served the Windermere Police Department for five years.Copyright 2014 ABC News Radio
