11-Year-Old Caitlyn Virts Found Unharmed
Baltimore Co. Police say they have located 11-year-old Caitlyn Virts and her father, Timothy Virts. An Amber Alert was issued for Caitlyn on Thursday morning after her mother was found dead in their Dundalk home. Caitlyn appears to be unharmed. For more, CLICK HERE.
The family and neighbors of 11-year-old Caitlyn Virts are all relieved she was found safe and unharmed late Friday night.
Neighbors living near the 3100 block of Ardee Way feel a weight has been lifted off of them knowing Caitlyn was found safe and that her abductor had been arrested.
Neighbors told Fox 45 they have been hoping and praying there would be a positive ending for the tragedy that began this week.
Baltimore County Police obtained an arrest warrant for Timothy Virts on Friday in connection with the death of Bobbie Jo Cortez, Caitlyn's mother, in Dundalk on Thursday. She was found deceased in a bedroom of the home with multiple cut wounds to her upper body.Local officials are working with South Carolina Social Services to bring Caitlyn Virts back to Maryland. Law enforcement has started the extradition process for Timothy Virts.
