At least 16 soldiers have been killed when a bomb blast hit an army convoy in north-western Pakistan, officials say.
They say a number of people were injured near the town of Bannu, and there are fears that the death toll will rise further.
Unconfirmed reports say a suicide bomber carried out the attack.
Although no group has for far claimed responsibility for the explosion, the Pakistani Taliban has recently vowed to increase attacks on security forces.
