(UPDATE: 12/3, 1:38 PM) - The lockdown orders at Forest Elementary and Carrigan Intermediate schools have been lifted. UNH should continue to shelter in place.(UPDATE: 12/3, 1:20 PM) - The suspect is now in custody. UNH advises to continue to shelter in place until further instructions are given.(NECN) - The University of New Haven says an emergency situation is in effect.The university says police have reported an Asian male near South Campus with what appears to be a rifle.A shelter in place order has been issued. Forest Elementary and Carrigan Intermediate schools also have a shelter in place status, due to the suspicious person spotted on the Univ. of New Haven campus.
