The man suspected of abducting a University of Virginia student made a brief court appearance in Texas Thursday morning before his extradition back to Virginia.
A Galveston magistrate read the charges against 32-year-old Jesse Leroy Matthew - abduction with the intent to defile - a day after cops picked him up on a Texas beach.
Matthew was the last person to be seen with 18-year-old Hannah Graham in Charlottesville, Va., before she went missing on Sept. 13.
No signs of the sophomore have turned up during the nearly two-week hunt.
In court, Matthew said he would not fight extradition back to Virginia, the Galveston Daily News reported.
It's unclear exactly when he'll be taken back to the state.
Texas police cornered the former U. Va. employee Wednesday afternoon after he was caught buying bug spray from a Galveston gas station.
'He asked me the question if it's safe to stay on the beach, so I told him yeah it's good there,' the store's owner, Dave Paresh, told KTRK.
Officers tracked him down on in a tent on the beach shortly after.

In light of the charges against him, Matthew was fired from his job as a nursing assistant at U. Va.'s medical center Wednesday.
Matthew once attended the Christian Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., but was expelled after another student claimed he raped her, the Daily Mail reported.
No charges were ever filed against Matthew for the 2002 complaint, but the Jerry Falwell-founded Christian school immediately booted him off campus - and off the school's football team.
He earned an athletic scholarship to the college after he was named Charlottesville's 'Athlete of the Year' in 1999. The university confirmed he was on the football roster for the 200, 2001 and 2002 seasons, ABC News reported.

Surveillance video from Sept. 13 caught Matthew putting his arm around an apparently intoxicated Graham around 1 a.m. outside a downtown mall.
Witnesses said they went to a nearby bar, and Matthew bought them drinks. The two left in his burnt orange coupe about 15 minutes later.
Police have searched his apartment twice - once leaving with a pile of clothes.
Police did not name him a suspect until after the two searches, on Friday and Monday, but did issues a reckless-driving warrant for him on Saturday.
Officers said Matthew went to a police station to request a lawyer, but quickly fled, leading offers of a chase through Charlottesville.
