Now that the Cronut craze has died down, it's time for Cronut creator Dominique Ansel to whip up something new and something just as awesome. Welcome, the Chocolate Chip Cookie Milk Shots, without the alcohol that is.
The Chocolate Cookie Milk Shots are seen on Ansel's Instagram page. The photo captioned 'Chocolate Chip Cookie Milk Shots for #SXSW and our event on Sunday night (Monday morning at 12am).'
This new creation captures childhood memories. Cookies plus milk, is always a lethal combination for a classic dessert. It also adds an adult twist to it through the shots design. Adults do feel a little bit better when downing a shot of alcohol, so these cookie milk shots resembling that act should help them de-stress a bit too.
But seriously, stressed or not, it doesn't really matter because these Chocolate Chip Cookie Milk shots will be a party in the mouth and will force you to wear a big fat smile on your face.
How did Ansel come up with the new idea?
Surprisingly, just weeks ago, Ansel ate his first Oreo ever and this gave him the inspiration to come with the cookie milk shots. Yes, cookie and milk is not really a huge thing in French culture so Ansel discovered this way late. But as they say, better late than never! Ansel told Eater that 'If everyone was drinking milk with cookies, you might as well make a dessert that allows them both to be combined.'
Anyway, the only question left to ponder is how should you eat the thing? Do you take the milk shot first? Or just garble the whole thing instantly? To each his own on this one. To get a sample of this tasty sweet treat, go to South by Southwest in Austin on March 9. Keep the date!
